The A-Team

Makeup junkies get excited because this one is all about what I think is the MOST important part of any makeup routine, foundation!  I am always on the lookout for the perfect base and I have tried A LOT!  Of course I wish I was born with pore less skin with no discoloration and had no idea what a post pimple mark looked like but that's just not fair...or so that's what I tell myself.  Longevity is my number one requirement when it comes to foundation.  I'm not a touch up girl, if I put it on it better stay on.  I also don't want to feel like I'm wearing a mask, foundation mask look is scary ladies!  Through my quest I have found some stand out foundations that have stuck with me.

Here they are!
(Left to Right) Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation ($13.99),  Clinique Even Better Foundation SPF 15 ($27),  Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup ($35),  NARS Sheer Glow Foundation ($42), Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua ($45)

Revlon Colorstay Whipped is the foundation I use most on a daily basis.  The texture of this really freaked me out when I first got it because it's fairly thick but I learned that a little goes a long way.  I would say that this is medium coverage and the lasting power is amazing.  The other interesting thing about this foundation is when you first put it on it's not that impressive but I notice that after about an hour of wear it started to really melt into my skin and make my skin look smooth and pore less.  I would say the finish of this is a semi-matte but still looks very natural.  The few cons I have for this is the chunky glass bottle it comes in, it's just not practical.   The other is the color selection, I find that Revlon foundations just don't cater to yellow undertones all that well.

Clinique Even Better Foundation is the newest addition to my collection.  I picked this up after seeing it on someone else who's skin looked so gorgeous and glowing, I had to have it of course!  I love the finish of this foundation the most.  It's just slightly dewy without making me look oily.  I find a little of this goes a long way as well and it does really well at cover any spots or redness.  If your skin is a little on the drier side and looking dull I think this foundation would work best for you.  The only con I have on this one is that it's too dark for me to where right now!

Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid  is my go to foundation for the summer.  This foundation is so light weight and when it's hot outside it's perfect.  Nothing worse than feeling like a pound of makeup is sliding off your face in the summer heat!  Even though it's light weight the coverage still manages to be pretty decent.  This foundation blends really well into the skin, giving a your skin but better finish.  I would say this works best for someone with pretty good skin already that's just looking to even their skintone.  Con for this one is coverage, I wish it had just a tiny bit more.

NARS Sheer Glow is always the foundation I reach for on a night out or special occasion.  NARS brand of makeup is hands down my favorite and this foundation is no exception to that.  It's glowing, with the right amount of coverage, and manages to blur out imperfections.  When I want a really perfected base this never lets me down.  I rarely have to spot conceal on blemishes if I wear this, which is a big plus for me too.  They also have a Sheer Matte version of this if you are on the oily side or just like a matte finish.  The con I have with this is that sometimes I feel like it can be too heavy for the daytime.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua....hello CHANEL!  Almost every beauty blogger and makeup guru as raved about this foundation and rightfully so.  I actually don't wear this foundation too often but I am in love.  This is very similar to the Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid because they are both extremely light weight on the skin.  I don't even know how to describe the finish it gives...  It just gives your skin this really flawless but natural look.  I was blown away by the effect it gave.  Unfortunately the cons I have for this foundation are what keeps me from wearing it more often.  The first is the smell...all Chanel foundations have this floral like scent, it's not unpleasant but I personally just hate when foundations have a fragrance, I don't get it. Because my skin does not respond well to fragranced products I breakout if I use this too often.  BIG BUMMER!

Candy Cane Nails

Since Christmas is just 26 days away why not post a Christmas inspired nail art.  Enjoy!

What you will need:
Nail Polish Remover, Cotton Balls or Swabs, Clear Coat Nail Polish, Light Pink or White Nail Polish, Red Nail Polish, Tape, and Scissors.
1st Step:  Coat your nails with a the clear coat polish, I find this helps a little with the lasting power of nail polish.

2nd Step:  After clear coat is dry take your red polish and paint all of your fingers EXCEPT your ring finger on each hand.  Use has many coats as you prefer.  Then take light pink or white polish and paint ring finger on each hand.  Let them dry COMPLETELY!

3rd Step:  Take a piece of tape and cut 3 small strips, don't stress if they are no all exactly alike..  Place these strips at a diagonal as evenly passed as you can across your ring finger.  Repeat this on the other side as well.  Make sure these are taped on securely so they don't slip or move.

4th Step:   Take your red polish and paint over your taped ring fingers, try to use very thin coats.

5th Step:  Let them dry for a good 20 minutes and then slowly peel off each strip of tape.  Clear coat over your nails (if you like) and you should have a candy cane effect!

If you really have the time and patience this would look even more festive on all of your fingernails!  Or maybe with green and red for more Christmas effect!

Quick Update

Life update...I'm not sure why I do updates because I've come to realize that I am a creature of habit and routine.  Not much changes = keeps me a happy girl.  So a few months back I posted a blog about me trying out a vegetarian diet, here's a run down of how it's been going.

There are a lot of positive things that vegetarianism has brought.  I have been much less bloated, less tired, have discovered some really good recipes, grocery bills have been a little bit cheaper, and I haven't contributed to killing innocent animals.  BUT there are also some downfalls to it as well.  The first I noticed was my skin, I have had more breakouts in the last 3 months than I have in a really long time.  Although I have felt much healthier, I have also noticed that even with 3 meals a day I never feel full which leads to the 3rd downfall.  I have put on 6 pounds in 3 months.  UGH.  So...I had a "girl" moment and it went a little like this in my head, " OH MY GOD, am I really going to sacrifice my figure to make a point, what is my butt going to look like if I keep this up another 3 months?...Amber don't be such a girl about it, it's just the exterior, Bambi doesn't care what your butt looks like, it's only 6 pounds anyways!"  (Yea I know you've had one of those moments too.)  So to make me and my internal animal rights activist happy I'm going to make a compromise.  I'm going to continue to stick to a mostly vegetarian diet but I'm not going to torture myself if I decide to have a turkey sandwich.

On to the next...my husband and I took a little trip to Gatlinburg, TN last weekend and met his sister who drove up from Alabama.  We had a really good time, lots of relaxing and catching up.  Every time my husband and I make a trip to Alabama or Tennessee to see family I love the mountains and the people and I always wonder if I could live in the country.  It's not until we get home that I realize that I prefer the noise over the quiet and maybe I even sort of like the fact that I'm not always going to run into the same people at the grocery store every week. Our weekend in Gatlinburg also made me realize that if I were stranded on a deserted island with only 2 people, my husband and sister in law would have to be my best choices.  There is never a shortage of laughing around both of them.

Well that's really about it since my last post... Hope everyone has a good week!

Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!  I really do love Halloween.  This apparently wasn't always the case.  My mom says that when I was little I would get all dressed up in my costume to go trick or treating and then want to go back home after visiting just a few houses.  Too tired and probably too cold, I was a smart girl, lol.  While I've long passed the appropriate age for trick or treating, dressing up and creating a character is my favorite.  Last year for Halloween my husband and I had no real plans until the last minute so we searched through our closets and threw some face paint on.  This year we decided to go to this thing in Columbus called Halloween Highball with a group of friends, so I wanted to go all out.  I was a Mad Hatter and PJ was Beetlejuice.

We saw so many amazing costumes while we were out!  So many ideas for next year!  Happy Halloween!

Fall Fix

Hi Everyone!  I think we've finally hit the fall season.  Let's hope it last more than a few weeks but there's really no telling in Ohio.

I've been looking at what to expect to see every girl and women to wear for Fall 2012.  Some I love and some not so much.  I don't always try to follow a trend but I'm definitely never above getting sucked into something I really like.  Here are a few things you can keep in mind if your out for your Fall fix.

Corduroy is really big this fall.  But it seems like corduroy pants are always lurking around in most fall/winter season.  I was not immediately charmed by the idea of these but I went and tried them on in navy blue (H&M) and really loved them.  Great fit for shorter girls.  I definitely want to go back for more colors.

Another trend, Metallic Nails.  Of course, there are tons of brands and tons of colors that you can find anywhere BUT I'm always going to suggest Essie because they are just my favorite.  One color that I'm on the hunt for is this coppery (don't think that's a real word but I'm gonna use it) metallic color called, Penny Talk.  LOVE.

Vampy Lips are back!  I love it!  I think these lips look good when your dressed up or dressed down.  I've got a few dark wine color lipsticks in my arsenal already but a few I think are purchase worthy are Black Cherry by Revlon and Hang-Up by MAC

NARS Blush, Sin

Next on the list is a blush that I have been eying for probably over a year now.  Every time I have a chance to go into Sephora I always go over to the NARS section and try to convince myself that buying a $28 blush is totally reasonable!  The texture of these is soft as butter and the colors are so perfect for glowing cheeks.  I'm pretty sure they put some sort of fairy dust in them.

Who would I be if I didn't put a pair of shoes on this list?!  BOOTS, tall boots, ankle boots, wedge boots, lace-up boots, every kind of boots, you definitely need some for the fall.  Some how I never have a sensible boot to wear and by sensible I mean one without a 5 inch heel on it!  Although I would love to stroll around to my classes in platform knee high boots, it's just not practical.  These are right on trend and right up my alley (lulus.com).

1 year and many to go

So something really amazing happened to me a year ago today...I got married!  A year later, I can still remember the way I felt walking down the aisle towards my new future and it still leaves me a little speechless!

I use to think that marriage would be no different from what we already had but it is.  Not in the way that it makes us any different in our relationship but there is a bond between us that's way beyond just PJ and I.

In other words I'm glad we conformed to traditional ways (lol).

I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us.  Happy Anniversary!

Mani Makeover: Dipped in glitter

I have to say that I really never took care of my nails much, in fact I use to bite my nails A LOT.  When I got engaged and had a shiny ring on my finger for display I thought I should probably make sure my finger nails aren't half chewed off (ewww!).

So recently, I've been experimenting with some nail art.  Nothing elaborate because even just painting nails can be a unreasonable task for me sometimes but there are some things that I thought were easy enough to pass along.  I decided that I'm going to do a small series of different nail ideas starting with a relatively easy one!

Some things you'll need:

2 nail colors, 1 base color ( I chose Sand Tropez by Essie) and 1 glitter color (I chose No. 261 Sparkling by Revlon), Clear Top Coat, Nail polish remover, Makeup wedges (these are optional), and a Cue tip.

Step One:  Apply your base color on your nails just as you would paint them normally.  Make sure you let them dry completely!  I learned my lesson the first time around when I did not do this!
I chose a taupe cream color because neutrals are going to be a big Fall nail trend.

Step Two:  Take a wedge and paint a small stripe of your glitter color that will coat the top part of your nails.
Press the coated wedge on the top 3rd of your nail, just like your stamping something.  Repeat this step until you get the opaqueness you want.  After you have all 10 digits done don't forget to let them dry completely!  Don't worry if you get get the glitter on the outside edges of your nail, you'll clean this up later.

Step Three:   Coat nails with top clear coat.

Step Four:  Take a cue tip or even a thin paint brush and soak it in nail polish remover.  Wipe clean any edges you went a little glitter happy on.

Here is what your finished project should look similar to.

Some things are just meant to be.

Finals are over...(for this quarter) and I have a whole two weeks off until I'm back on the grind again!  I have some very big plans....sleeping and lots of leisure reading. I know that sounds so very retired old lady of me BUT these two things keep me happy and sane!

Instead of rambling on in this post I thought I would give it some meaning.  I came up with some things that I have declared "will not live without EVER" and thought they deserved a shout out, so here they are:

Josie Maran Argan Oil-  I had read that Argan Oil has some really amazing benefits for your skin so I ran out and bought this despite my initial doubts about putting oil on my already oily face.  I put this on my face at night and in the morning it felt like I had brand new skin.  So soft!  We have not parted ways since.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo-  use this once a day....zits no longer a reoccurring thing, enough said!

Dermalogica Intensive Eye Repair-  An amazing thing that happens to you when you finally start getting comfortable in your own skin...it starts lashing out at you.  Drying out and puffing up, not cute at all.  This is the one thing that makes me feel back to normal on those days.

MAC Select Moisture Cover Concealer-  Girls best friend!

Updates and Vegetarianism.

HI Everyone!  It's been a long time, 4 months exactly, but I have some good excuses.  School work can be mostly to blame.  I've been working so hard to get my last and final prerequisite classes out of the way before I apply to my program in January.  Not only do I need to finish them I actually have to get AMAZING grades in them (lame, I know), which there lies the issue with trying to maintain a blog.  Life consists of far too much studying at the moment.  I think I've officially hit the "wall", and with that I mean I have a lot of moments where I think, "a full time job in something I HATE has to be much better than spending hours and hours a day on studying and homework that I am not getting paid for."  Luckily, I have my husband to talk me off the ledge.

Aside from school not much has changed in the last 4 months, 2 small road trips, another year older, another tattoo, 2 weeks without a cancer stick, and this week I've decided to test the waters of becoming a Vegetarian.

To make a long story short, my husband and I had a long conversation about hunting for hobby, which I don't agree with (just my opinion).  Something about killing an innocent animal as a "fun" past time makes me feel like its sort of messes with a balance of nature or something.  That's right, were getting real here people, lol.  Then he brought up the fact of eating meat that obviously has been slaughter for the sole purpose of consumption.  Although I think this is slightly better than just going out in nature and shooting whatever is in season for just the sake of hunting, it still really gets me upset.  SO, I thought to myself,  if I have such a  negative reaction to it then why am I contributing to it by still eating meat?   Thus my journey of no meat this week.  Wish me luck!

Blueberry Cheesecake...say no more.

Happy Friday Everyone!  So let me start off by saying that it's 7am and I am blogging.  Not my ideal morning but our dog Penny was persistent on getting up at 6:30 this morning (another reason to add to the list of why we should pass on the having children part of a marriage , lol).  Oddly enough one of the first things I thought of in my sleepy stupor is that I have been neglecting this blog so I should get it together and post something.

One word...CHEESECAKE!  Even better... Blueberry Cheesecake!  Even better than that...its got half the fat as regular cheesecake!  I found this gem in a Cooking Light cook book and it was love at first bite.  Although I ended up with half of it all over my kitchen and it's a process to make (that may be putting it lightly), it's definitely worth a try.  YOUR WELCOME!

  • Crust:
  • 2/3 cup graham cracker crumbs (about 5 cookie sheets)
  • 2/3 cup reduced-fat vanilla wafer crumbs (about 20 cookies)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

  • Filling:
  • 2 1/2 cups fresh or frozen wild blueberries, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 1/2 (8-ounce) blocks fat-free cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8-ounce) block 1/3-less-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 5 large eggs

  • Topping:
  • 1 1/2 cups fat-free sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •
  • Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen, thawed, wild blueberries

Preparation

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 325°.
  2. 2. To prepare crust, combine first 3 ingredients in a medium bowl. Drizzle with butter; toss with a fork until moist. Firmly press mixture into bottom of a 9-inch springform pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 325° for 10 minutes; cool on a wire rack.
  3. 3. To prepare filling, combine 2 1/2 cups blueberries and 1 tablespoon cornstarch in a food processor, and process until smooth. Place puree in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook 6 minutes or until slightly thick, stirring constantly. Cool slightly. Reserve 1/2 cup blueberry puree for sauce; set remaining 1 cup blueberry puree aside.
  4. 4. Place cheeses in a large bowl; beat with a mixer at high speed for 3 minutes or until smooth. Combine 1 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, and salt. Add sugar mixture to cheese mixture; beat well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Pour batter over prepared crust. Pour 1 cup blueberry puree over batter; gently swirl with a knife. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until cheesecake center barely moves when pan is touched. Remove cheesecake from oven (do not turn oven off); place cheesecake on a wire rack.
  5. 5. To prepare topping, combine sour cream, 2 tablespoons sugar, and vanilla in a small bowl, stirring well. Spread sour cream mixture evenly over cheesecake. Bake at 325° for 10 minutes. Remove cheesecake from oven; run a knife around outside edge. Cool to room temperature. Cover and chill at least 8 hours. Remove sides of springform pan.
  6. 6. To prepare sauce, combine reserved 1/2 cup blueberry puree, 1/4 cup sugar, and water in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 8 minutes or until sauce is thick, stirring constantly. Gently fold in 1 cup blueberries. Remove from heat, and cool. Serve sauce with cheesecake.

February Obsessions

So quite often in my life I definitely have my fill of obsessions.  Keeping with all things beauty I decided to share what my monthly obsessions included for the month of February.

1. Tone Daily Detox bodywash - I have to say I'm not very faithful to any certain kind of body washes.  I hate washes that are over powering that I can smell over my perfume.  I want to be clean by a body wash not heavily perfumed!  After I used it I was hooked.  It has an amazing smell and It's extremely moisturizing.  It also has vitamin E in it which is also really good in improving the tone of your skin, big plus for me!

2.  La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo - as soon as winter arrived I started having a lot more unwelcome friends appear on my face.  I feel like I have a love hate relationship with my skin...it's either really really good or really really bad.  I have used every spot treatment on the market and have never been impressed.  I heard about the La Roche-Posay brand through many positive reviews on the web.  NO, this doesn't get rid of anything over night but after a few weeks of using it I notice a HUGE difference in the severity of breakouts.  Definitely happy about this purchase.

3.  OPI - Ski Teal We Drop - I wore this on my nails almost everyday of February, I love it!

4.  Burberry Brit Perfume - I bought this back in January and really didn't get around to using it until Feb. It's definitely not an everyday scent for me but the smell is so amazing.  When I'm choosing a perfume I look for something not too floral and something that can almost be worn by a guy as well and this was right up my alley.

4. CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation - I think as a women your allowed to be a "princess" about a few things in your life.  Makeup is hands down my reigning princess item.  I've discovered over the years that the reason why some makeup is so expensive is because it truly is above and beyond quality and this foundation does not disappoint.  I'm a fan of most of the foundations CHANEL offers (I'm eventually going to do a post  on these) but I used the Vitalumiere Aqua the most this month.  If you want perfect looking skin without looking like you have a pound of makeup on your face then buckle down and save your pennies for this!

5.  Microdermabrasion Cleansing Tool - I had no clue that cleansing with a little brush head attached to a rotating handle would do some much for your skin!  I've used this everyday for a few months now and my skin feels so smooth and soft afterwards, it's all I can take to not constantly rub my face.  I just bought a drugstore brand of this and it has been working out great for me.

6.  TRESemme Dry Shampoo - Little known secret to healthy and shiny hair....DO NOT wash it everyday!  Sounds gross but makes a huge difference.  On the in between days dry shampoo never lets me down.

An unlikely pair

Hi Everyone!  So I thought it was time to post one of my favorite recipes.  It's a tuna quesadilla and it's a staple in our house.  I know not everyone is a fan tuna and I know your probably thinking...tuna?  quesadilla? definitely do not go together but it really surprised me the first time I had it.  I can't take the credit for finding this recipe because my husband actually found it on the back of a tuna packet.  It's easy to make and  it will fill you up!

2 packets of Hickory Smoked tuna (Starkist sells these)
4 green onion (chopped)
2 oz. cream cheese (room temperature, I use 1/3 less fat to keep it a little healthier)
1/2 roasted red pepper (chopped)
1/2 cup shredded cheese (your choose, we use colby-monterey jack)
Dash of salt and pepper
4 tortilla shells

Preheat your oven broiler.  Mix the first 6 ingredients together in a bowl and set aside.  Lay out 2 of your tortilla shells on a baking sheet and make a few holes with a fork in them.  Take your tuna mixture and spread it evenly onto shells.  Place 2 remaining tortilla shells on top of your mixture and also make holes in these with a fork.  Place baking sheet under broiler for about 2 minutes or until slightly browned then flip them over.  At this point you can choose whether or not you want to top them with cheese or not.  Cook for an additional 2 minutes and they are ready to eat.

Oh....Penny Lane

So I thought I'd share a few thoughts on a big love in my life.  Her name is Penny Lane and my husband and I have only had  her for two months but she has definitely changed our lives.  I would say our relationship is complicated to say the least but most days she has us wrapped around her little paw.

(Penny Lane and PJ on lazy Sunday)

I mean  look at that face and those ears...heart melting for sure!  It truly is odd how you find yourself having conversations with a four legged animal about how your hair looks or what to make for dinner as if she's your best friend (or maybe that's just me).  Like most women she has her occasional crazy moment but her adorable puppy grunts, innocent little face, and "mommy" cuddles undoubtedly trump her "Puppy PMS."  So to everyone with or has experienced the love of having a pet think of them fondly and give them an extra treat because they really do become a part of our families.

Spice up your coffee

Hi everyone!  So I have to confess...I am an addict for coffee and tea! (as I'm sure most of you are too!)  My mornings always have to involve one or the other or my head will literally spin right off, just ask my husband.  Okay,  not literally but seriously...a morning without coffee just isn't worth getting out of bed for.  SO, I've decided to share a coffee recipe with a little something extra to it.  My husband PJ actually found this a few years ago when I was sick.  He claimed this was going to help me feel much better if I drank it or at least that's what Google told him.  I'm not sure that it actually helped my cold BUT it was definitely delicious!  So enjoy!

WHITE SPICE COFFEE

1/3 cup whole coffee beans (any flavor beans will work)
1 cup milk (skim, 1%, 2%, or whole, whatever you like)
1/2 stick of cinnamon
1 tbsp. honey
pinch of cardamon
pinch of ground cinnamon
1 oz. Rum (optional)

Place milk in small sauce pan over medium-low heat. Place coffee beans in plastic bag and seal.   Crush beans slightly with spoon.  Pour crushed beans into milk.  Add honey and stick of cinnamon.  Let ingredients seap together for 10 to 12 minutes, occasionally stir. Drain out coffee beans and pour milk mixture into your favorite mug.  Now is the time to add the Rum if you choose.  Add a pinch of cinnamon and cardamon to taste and stir.

Winter Wonderland of Polish

Well winter has made it's way here!  Snow has made it's landing and the the temp. is slowly dropping.  Although I wish I could hibernate through these next few months, I'm forced to brave the gloomy and chilly climate just like everyone else.

Keeping with the Winter Season I've recently discovered some truly awesome winter nail polish colors.  I always think  that if you have absolutely nothing to accessorize with than a great polish is an easy fix.  This season it seems metallic, a touch of bold, and a little bit of classic colors are on trend.  Although, I don't typically follow a "trend"  I jumped in nails first on this one.  With this in mind I've searched and come up with some colors I love and are worthy of recommendation.  Check them out!

Colors (from left to right)  Burgundy Flirt - Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro, Steel Grey - Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro, Gold Silk - Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro, Midnight Cami - Essie, Going Incognito - Essie

(For the most accurate color of these I recommend swatching them on yourself)

Burgundy Flirt:  This is a Classic Red, the more you apply of this color the deeper red it gets, I love it!  The best thing about these Rimmel nail polishes is that the formula is thick so there is no need for a million coats.

Steel Grey:  This is a neutral, almost beige like grey.  My first thought when I got this is that it may be a little drab but it really is an amazing color, great for winter!

Gold Silk:  This color is a little metallic, a little glitter, and a little iridescent.  I like it because it's not so gold it looks over the top but just right.

Midnight Cami:  I've always loved the way a dark navy blue looks on nails and this color is no exception.  I will say Essie polishes are a little bit more pricey but they are super pigmented and worth a little splurge.

Going Incognito:  I know what you may be thinking...GREEN, really?  I was definitely a little scared of green myself but this is a gorgeous shade of green that is really flattering.  It's somewhere in between a teal and true green color.

Welcome to my Blog

So here I am!  This is my first official blog and I've been thinking for what seems like months on what it should be about.  Instead of jumping right into it, I thought this first post could explain what you might be able to read in this Amberface blog.  Like many women I live for a brand new pair of high heels, a good glass of wine, hair that always does what I want, and many other "girl" things.  With that in mind I thought I might be able to share my experiences, thoughts, and opinions on all things girl and the occasional.  I'm excited to share some recipes I love, tips and tricks I've learned, some DIY projects, and much more.  So until next time...."a girl should be two things: classy and fabulous."- Coco Chanel
